　亀山市は、古代には日本書紀にも登場する「鈴鹿関」と呼ばれた関所が置かれ、江戸時代には東海道五十三次の３宿の宿場町として、また、近代では「鉄道のまち」として、古くから東西交通の要衝として栄え、人・モノ・情報の交流が盛んに行われてきました。まさに、時代を越えて「道」の文化がまちの成長を支えてきました。　現在も、新名神高速道路をはじめ、高規格幹線道路などの道路網の整備が進む中で、中部・関西両圏をつなぐ広域交通網の結節点として重要な役割を担っています。　今後、新たな国土の大動脈となるリニア中央新幹線の実現とスーパーメガリージョン（巨大経済圏）の形成により、亀山市は交通の要衝としてのポテンシャルが更に高まり、広域的な連携交流や活発に産業立地が展開され、持続可能な都市として成長が期待されます。古くからの「道」の文化が新たな交流を生み出すまちの未来を拓く05Open up the future魅力ある交流拠点の形成Creation of an Attractive Hub for InteractionsNew Interactions Created through Our Traditional Role as an “Intersection of Important Roads”Since ancient times, Kameyama City has enjoyed prosperity as a hub for active exchanges of people, products and information between East and West Japan.Even today, our city plays an important role as a key node in the interregional trac network between the Chubu and Kansai regions.Through the realization of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen, which will support Japan’s economy as a new main transportation artery of the country and through the constitution of super megaregion, it is now expected that we will be able to raise our potential as a more important trac hub, promote collaborative interregional interactions and active industrial accumulation, and then grow further as a sustainable city.13音声を聞く
